Life can be discouraging at times. We sometimes expect people to act in predictable ways. When they don’t respond the way we want it can hurt our feelings. Especially when it’s family and friends. We may say things or hear things that are hurtful. The Bible says. “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity “ Proverbs 17:17. Sometimes we don’t know how to restore these relationships. So we avoid the person or situation waiting for some particular response. What if we just act as if it never happened. Just put it aside and just walk up to folks as if nothing ever happened. Pick up where you were before whatever was said. After all if it’s a true and Godly love shouldn’t that be enough. The Bible says; “bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another, even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.” Colossians 3:13. As Christians MUST do. We should readily forgive and not hold a grudge or hate. Genuine relationships always have the ability to be restored. 1 John 4: 20 says, If someone says, “I love God “ and hates his brother, he is a liar, Jesus even advocated for the very ones who crucified him. “ Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do”. what an example of love. Restoring relationships may not be as hard as you think. A smile and a handshake may be all that’s needed. A true friend forgave it as soon as it happened. Display God’s love in you.
